Vol. 32 Iss. 2 pp. 171179 | St. Petersburg State Institute of Psychology and Social Work | ISSN: 1993-8101

Abstract

Researchers distinguish various immediate and chronic child abuse after-effects. Immediate after–effects are more obvious and often become a subject of study, while the chronic ones are less relevant. Chronic after-effects could be vast and have severe consequences. They can change person’s attitude to one’s body and personality, and also form some special intravital scenarios, that could be represented by certain mental changes.

This article reviews a wide range of manifestations and consequences of child abuse, mainly, the empiric study results of child abuse chronic after-effects among woman. In conjunction with its impact on relationships built by woman and her living standards, these after- effects are not less relevant.
