Case study: a method of learning in the system of additional professional training of social workers

Abstract

The article discusses issues of adult education in terms of additional professional training of social workers. The leading place among interactive educational technologies is occupied by the case study method, which allows a full-fl edged simulation of professional activity. The author reveals the essence, forms, and types of this method of learning, gives examples of case studies for specialists of social sphere. An example of case studies in the fi eld of social work helps to shape proper professional skills and is aimed at training of specialists who are able to think wisely and to choose the best solutions.
