Possibilities of using associative cards in psychotherapy of suicidal behavior

Abstract

The article provides theoretical and empirical analysis of psychotherapy with suicidal clients. It con-siders features of functioning of psychological defense mechanisms that block contact and provoke certain vec-tors of suicidal behavior. Authors present a table with a description of psychological defense mechanisms, vectors of suicidal behavior, and types of psychotherapeutic treatment. The article also contains analysis of possibilities of using associative cards and fairytale therapy with depressed and suicidal clients.
