Abstract

A significant reduction or loss of work ability in a disabled person is often accompanied by partial or total loss of the profession and other problems. The loss of work ability is also possible in the absence of a stable profession. In such cases, vocation training and re-training (particularly in young people with disabilities) are important means of social and occupational rehabilitation. The main goal of work with disabled persons is social integration. This feature is reflected in methods of therapy. To that end individual rehabilitation programmes should include measures for social habilitation, particularly correctional programmes of working with families, largely responsible for the «deficit» of personality in disabled persons.
