Modern trends in the development of higher school

Abstract

The article discusses various trends typical of the current state of development of higher school in Russian Federation. The most detailed analysis is given to two aspects affecting the practical activity of Higher Education Institutions — developing global education market and rising competition on the one hand, and a paradigmatic transformation of content, principles and learning methods on the other. Authors defi ne aspects of reforms, which are needed by educational organizations in order to meet the requirements of innovative development.
