Accessible environment as a condition of improving the quality of life of elderly persons on the example of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region

Abstract

One of the directions of modern state social policy is improving the quality of life of elderly people by providing access to different living environment. The article analyzes the state of social services for elderly persons. Particular attention is paid to the concept of «accessible environment». Practical recommendations for optimizing the functioning of the Institute of Social Services are given.
