Pessimistic and optimistic views on the social situation of the elderly in modern Кussia

Abstract

The article considers the approaches to assessing the level and quality of life of the elderly. The origins of the formation of traditional views on the factors determining the quality of life formed in opposite sociological schools under the influence of alternative social and psychological ideology generating a prejudiced attitude to the interpretation of the results of research on the quality of life of the elderly in modern Russia are generated.
