Vol. 30 Iss. 2 pp. 7987 | St. Petersburg State Institute of Psychology and Social Work | ISSN: 1993-8101

Abstract

Today, the total differentiation of professional and non-professional social work continues which significantly affects the specifics and transforms training and retraining of social professionals. Requirements for professionalism become particularly important: both in relation to social workers of different groups, and in relation to volunteers and "close assistants". The need to create integrated and standardized programs and channels of vocational training and advanced training in edology is associated with need for high-quality performance by edologists of different groups. The generalized view of an edologist is reflected in a professiogram, which is based on modern scientific research and experience. Many edological professiograms mark only a few traits of edologists, which raises the problem of fragmentary training and ideas about the activities of a specialist. The purpose of the study is to analyze the models of professional training of social worker. Research methods: theoretical analysis of models and problems of training professionals and volunteers in the field of social work and/or social service. Results of the research: social work can be defined as a type of professional or quasi-professional individual and group activity. This type of activity involves interdisciplinary technologies and methods of transforming, maintaining and rehabilitating an individual and a group as social subjects. Edological activity appears as an individual or joint activity, requiring its participants to have a high-quality professional profile preparation (readiness) and high professionalism, compliance with the professiogram and specific functionality in a particular area of social work.
