Professional competencies of a training group leader

Abstract

This article considers the professional qualifcation of a training group leader and competencies necessary for his/her productive activities in the course of work with a group. The model of competences, which is responsible for a holistic image of the professional giving classes in training group, is offered. The following key competencies are highlighted: the ability to be an example of effective participation in a group, ability to communicate effectively and to receive constructive criticism, adherence to ethical values, ability to correctly apply techniques and manage group dynamics, ability to create a favourable training atmosphere and objectively evaluate performance.
