Psychology of art: a psychosemantic analysis of perception and understanding of a feature film

Abstract

Based on the perception of a film on Buddhist themes, the depth of its understanding by a student audience is explored, the system of personal constructs (Kelly) of the film’s perception is highlighted and personal meanings that have arisen to the audience, depending on understanding of the work, are analyzed. The article has a pronounced interdisciplinary character; it intersects the interests of psychology of art, semiotics of cinema, psychology of religion, problem of ethics.
