The burnout syndrome and forms of its manifistetation in teachers

Abstract

The article describes the professional burnout among teachers, the stress factors in the work of a school teacher, the empirical research of professional burnout among teachers of secondary schools of St. Petersburg, the link between professional burnout in teachers and job dissatisfaction, as well as high levels of psychological stress. Author highlights the relationship of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduction of personal achievements with indicators of life orientations, and self-actualization. The article provides recommendations on the prevention of professional burnout among teachers.
