The article deals with the scientifi c and methodological substan-tiation of the work of the department of psychology of deviant behavior and applied confl ictology in the system of modern psychological knowledge and touches upon the following aspects: the history of the department, theoretical and methodological system of conflictology and deviant behavior, the main scientifi c areas of research and staff academic achievements, structural dynamic approach as a methodological basis of social confl icts and deviations research.
