The paper presents some results of the regional research of the Leningrad region youth contemporary problems. In particular, it reveals essential distinctions in the process of values determining and goals setting in various groups of youth in contemporary society. These values and goals are polarized and this fact proves that the inhomogeneity of the youth as a single social group is increasing.
