Current social status of the rural population and possibilities of its improvement in the regions of Russia by means of social work

Abstract

The article contains data from a number of studies devoted to the research of the modern social status of the rural population in various regions of Russia. By generalization and analysis, an overall description of the status and social problems of Russian villagers is given, and the role of social work as a mechanism of social support for the rural population, with the help of which social conditions can be improved, is emphasized. The main emphasis is on social work technologies that have been most widely used in working with rural population in various regions of Russia, specific forms and problems of their application in the countryside.
