Education of persons with limited health capabilities in the context of Vygotsky’s theory

Abstract

The article deals with the importance of L.S. Vygotsky's theory of cultural-historical development of the psyche in modern practice of education of people with limited health capabilities and the realization of ideas of inclusive education. Particular attention is paid to the provision on the social essence of defectiveness and compensation for developmental defects which are theoretical and methodological foundations of the person-oriented humanistic paradigm of social integration of disabled people, the social model of disability. The main principles of the normocentric and humanistic paradigm of social integration of disabled people are highlighted.
