Features of psychodynamic therapy for deviant personality

Vol. Abstract
This article discusses features of providing psychotherapeutic assistance to persons with deviant behavior. Psychotherapeutic approach, considered by the authors, is based on the concept of psychodynamic essence of personal development. The authors suggest using psychodynamic psychotherapy to strengthen and reinforce distorted and weakened ego-function in deviant clients. Psychodynamic psychotherapy helps deviant personality to investigate unresolved confl icts of past dysfunctional relations that catalyze occurrence and course of the ongoing disorders.
