Abstract

The article describes the inter-disciplinary model of social work, on the base of which the functions and new directions of social work and social policy in the transforming Russian society are analyzed. The author gives a detailed description of functions of coordinating interests between different problematic groups, directions of primary preventive work based on the use of modern informational and audiovisual technologies and some other functions and directions of social work.
