Abstract

The article is devoted to national and ethnic youth associations in Russia. Activities of youth associations of different nationalities, history of their origin and modern palette are considered. Additionally, results of the survey conducted with activists and leaders of ethnic youth association in St. Petersburg are presented. The author believes that ethnic youth associations play an important role in youth work and are essential for the prevention of extremism and nationalism, as well as for the development of civil society.
