Patriotic education of young people in Russia: problems and prospects

This article presents an assessment of the sociological survey "Trends in the formation of patriotic education of youth". Results showed that under the “patriotism” young people understand the love for their city, country, and people, and are willing to be included in an active social activities, have a clear civil position. Authors further analyze the programmes of patriotic education of youth, operating in Russia, and identify the ways to enhance the effectiveness of patriotic education of youth in modern conditions.
