Peculiarities of the use of feature films in interactive learning
Abstract
This article focuses on the opportunities and benefits of using cinema as an interactive learning tool. The author examines a number of principles that allow to maximize the benefits of film-training and give some practical guidelines for carrying out this type of interactive instruction. In the present article cinema is considered as a communicative system in which mechanisms of socio-psychological influence operate, and the nature of the language of the movie allows to enhance this influence. Analyzing the features of the perception of cinema, the author gives a number of examples pointing to the suggestive means of the film, and the metaphorical language of the movie allows to intensify this effect. Moreover, the article focuses on the ability of cinema training to form certain concepts that help in the assimilation of scientific theory. The article gives a brief description of the author's development of a training project on the topic of time management using feature films. The author considers the predicted results of work in the framework of this project.
