The article presents the socio-psychological study conducted in Russia among the inhabitants of the metropolis. The results obtained specify the views of today’s youth on marriage and family settings in four major aspects: general marital setting, the idea of an intimate relationship, relations with the grandparent family and its infl uence, parent-child setup.
