Victim behaviour phenomenon in megalopolis

Vol. Abstract
Victim behavior is an extremely diffi cult form of a person behavior determined by a system of interconnected factors. Among them social psychologists point out three prevailing factors of victimization: general increase in the pollution of the environment, decrease in adaptation of people due to rapidly changing living conditions, considerable psychological stresses. Catastrophes act as a special factor of population victimization as they result in deviation of normal socialization of very big groups of the population. The author analyzes the phenomenon of victim behaviour, general laws and conditions of formation, structure and
mechanism of victim activities and gives analysis of victim functions.
