Role-imposition technique in psychotherapy of sexual conflicts

Abstract

The article describes the role-imposition technique used in psychological counselling. The role-imposition technique contains two types of colourful areas and ten fgures that present basic unconscious roles. These roles are presented as deep patterns which differ by gender, age, and mythological motive aspects. Under consideration are problems of marriage and family, which are one of the most popular subjects in counselling psychology. The article presents results of diagnostics and counselling of a woman with a conflict in sexual relationships. Authors suggest that deeper unconscious representations of a person become a stereotype of interpersonal role behaviour. The description of the role-imposition technique used in psychological counselling of sexual relationship problem is given.
